Training

Local government staff, consultants, watershed groups, and other watershed professionals face an ever-increasing demand for greater and faster results, requiring more staff, more technical expertise, and more money.  The Association and of Watershed and Stormwater Professionals (AWSPs) and the Center for Watershed Protection are dedicated to providing these practitioners with the skills and the tools they need to do more effective watershed work.

Watershed Curriculum Model

The Center developed the Watershed Curriculum Module (WCM) to provide teaching lessons to integrate the watershed approach into existing course work.  The module provides instructional material for field-based and classroom exercises. The materials are designed to enhance a student’s critical thinking skills by applying knowledge learned in the classroom to ‘real world’ examples. Lunch and Learn Series

The Association of Watershed and Stormwater Professionals members are invited to special monthly Lunch and Learn Series. These FREE, informal training sessions provide members a chance to peek behind the curtain into the Center offices to learn about the projects, research, tools the Center is involved in.
